Obscurity later;

For now you will have to do with this post about Final Fantasy and Neutral Milk Hotel, well known across the indie-world. These are some of my favorite artists right now, though Final Fantasy is a more established favorite as I've listened to it for several months, and having digged up (almost) anything there is to dig up.

Neutral Milk Hotel I've only heard In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. I think that album still grows on me, and I bet I've played it 50 or so times. It's a must-hear album, I recommend it to everyone. I recommend Final Fantasy to everyone as well, of course, but I think more people would like In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Actually, you're going to have to listen to it at some point of your life either you want to or not, if only for the hipster credit it gives.

And Final Fantasy a.k.a. Owen Pallett; orchestral genius and so on. Worked with (most famously -) Arcade Fire, The Hidden Cameras, Grizzly Bear, and the list goes on. But an opinion I share with a lot of people, is that it's in his solo-project / one man band called Final Fantasy, creatively enough, really shows what he's good for. The music is very violin-based. Playing live, he solely uses a violin and a loop pedal; means he records what he plays, loops it, and then plays something else, creating layers. He also plays the piano. And loads of other instruments. The first time I heard Final Fantasy I really loved it. I thought it sounded like taken from a fairytale. I was sceptical as well though. It sounds like a mix of something completely new, indie pop and classical. Now I've listened to his second album, He Poos Clouds, on a general basis since July, and I'm not sceptical anymore.

Featured are two songs from In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, a song from He Poos Clouds by Final Fantasy, and what I suppose is my favorite cover by Final Fantasy. Right-click+Save target as to download.
PS: Thanks to Rosajonas for uploading songs for me. His blog is fucking awesome by the way, so check it out. Really, do.
